Weekend Weather Forecast
With freezing rain in the winter weather forecast for Storm Lake, City Crews will be monitoring conditions and carrying out sanding operations. As the forecasted weather moves through the area, appropriate efforts will be made to keep travel conditions as safe as possible.
The current forecast is not calling or much snow accumulation. However, if necessary, a Snow Emergency alert will be issued and notice provided on the City’s website and other social media outlets.
The City appreciates the community’s support when a Snow Emergency is issued. By policy, Downtown snow removal hours are only between the hours of 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Additional information related to snow situations can be found at this www.stormlake.org/snowemergency
The City of Storm Lake appreciates the cooperation of the community during this closure and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
