Applications are now available for outside agencies requesting City of Storm Lake funding for the next fiscal year. Grant
applications are due December 19, 2025. Final funding decisions will be made by the City Council during its upcoming budgeting process.
Details on the application process:
1. Applicants must be a qualifying non-profit organization or provide economic development per the purposes outlined by Iowa Code Chapter 15A.
2. Applicants must execute a Grant Agreement with the City prior to fund disbursement.
3. Applicants must provide any financial documents, records or statements upon request to verify proper use of funds.
4. Applications are due December 19th, 2025 at 4:00pm
5. City Council will hold a Q&A session for grant application requests at the February 2nd, 2026 Council Meeting.
6. Finally, and most important, Determination of the level of funding, if any, will be made during the FY2027 budget workshops in early 2026 and announced following formal approval of the FY2027 budget. The fiscal year begins July 1, 2026.
