Student volunteer Joseph Rice from Storm Lake High School will be conducting the survey, working through the Silver Cord community service program. A side-by-side utility vehicle will be used for the work, and the volunteer will be wearing a yellow safety vest during this project.
The information collected will help to update the City’s Geographic Information mapping. The City maintains approximately 200 park benches and 150 picnic tables, many of which feature memorial markers. The mapping will assist in ensuring that park furnishings and markers can be kept in the best possible condition.
