[ARCHIVED] Immigrant Experience Film Series comes to Storm Lake Public Library

The series will consist of three movies featuring three very different immigrant stories.  Please note this series is best suited for adult audiences.   The schedule is as follows:

Thursday, October 19, 4:00 PM—A blockbuster starring Saoirse Ronan as a young Irish woman in the early 1950s, torn between her old home and her new. Based on the book by Colm Tóibín.

Thursday, October 26, 4:00 PM—A lonely widower forms unlikely friendships with two young immigrants.   Starring Richard Jenkins.

Thursday, November 2, 4:00 PM—The true story of Cambodian refugee, Ted Ngoy, who built a multi-million-dollar empire baking America’s favorite pastry.
