The City of Storm Lake follows Iowa Code specifications on examination of public records. The public is afforded the right to request, examine, copy or publish information contained in public records, except for those records that are by law designated as confidential by Iowa Code section 22.7, those that are sealed by order of a state of federal court, or other provisions of law.
Requesting Public Records
Requests for access to a public record may be made in person, in writing, by e-mail, or by telephone and should be directed to the Storm Lake City Clerk.
