Household Hazardous Waste Collection

This service is run by the Buena Vista County Recycle Center which can be reached by phone at 712-732-7171 or on the web at www.bvcorecycling.com.  All items must be brought to the BV County Recycle Center.

Types of Hazardous Waste Collected

The following types of Household Hazardous Waste can be disposed. 

• Home Improvement Products
• Cleaning Solutions
• Pesticides
• Garden Chemicals
• Automotive Solvents
• Oil and Lead Based Paints

Latex Paint is not accepted. Latex Paint can be safely disposed of in a landfill once its dry.
