Mayor's Civic Leadership Advisory Committee

One of Mayor McKeon's primary objectives is to prepare and lead our city into the future.  Achieving this requires actively growing and developing new leaders, whether through participation in our committee structure, running for elected office, or volunteering at community and city events. The dedication of our volunteers is what helps Storm Lake continue to thrive as a vibrant community.  On January 19, 2026, the City Council approved the formation of the Mayor’s Civic Leadership Advisory Committee.

This ad hoc committee will provide guidance and recommendations to the mayor, ensuring that both the mayor and the city remain attentive to the needs of all residents. The committee will encourage community growth and actively support the development of future leaders.
