The Lake Improvement Commission consists of seven members from the following entities:
Don Altena, Buena Vista County
Tom Huseman, Buena Vista County
Steve Roth, Lake Preservation Association
Ryan Mohr, Lake Preservation Association
Charlie Larson, City of Lakeside
Tyson Rice, City of Storm Lake
Mike Porsch, City of Storm Lake
The Lake Improvement Commission is responsible for water quality and aquatic vegetation management.
Commission Member Requirements Members are appointed as follows:
Two members shall be appointed by the mayor of Storm Lake with Council approval and such members shall be the mayor and/or Council members of the City of Storm Lake
One member shall be appointed by the mayor of Lakeside with Council approval and member shall either be the mayor or a Council member of the City of Lakeside
Two members shall be appointed by the chairman of the Buena Vista County Board of Supervisors with approval of the Board of Supervisors and shall be members of the Buena Vista County Board of Supervisors
Two members shall be appointed by the president of the Lake Preservation Association for Storm Lake Inc. with the approval of the Board of Directors and such members shall be an officer and/or director of the corporation
