PROCLAMATION TO DISCONTINUE WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES
FOR USERS OF THE STORM LAKE WATER SYSTEM
WHEREAS, The City Council acknowledged through Resolution No. 06-R-2020-2021 adopted at the Council meeting on June 21, 2021, a public emergency water shortage existed and implemented water conservation methods as outlined in the Storm Lake Municipal Code.
WHEREAS, Water Conservation Measures implemented to manage available water resources were in place during the hot, dry summer months; and
WHEREAS, the cooler weather this Fall has reduced daily demand for available water resources to a reasonable level; and
WHEREAS, the resolution noted that, pursuant to Storm Lake Municipal Code Section 3-5-5, additional action necessary during this time may be taken by the Mayor or City Manager and issued through Proclamation.
NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE FORGOING, I, KERI NAVRATIL, CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF STORM LAKE, PROCLAIM THE FOLLOWING:
Water Conservation Measures for the City of Storm Lake are now lifted effective immediately.
PROCLAIMED THIS 21st DAY OF OCTOBER 2021 BY THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME BY THE CODE OF IOWA AND THE CITY OF STORM LAKE MUNICIPAL CODE:
