Neighborhood Outreach Program

Program Overview

The police and fire departments along with other community service organizations are coming to a neighborhood, street or park near you this summer. Once again the public safety department will be setting up an outreach program with police and fire personnel along with other community partners in different areas of the city throughout the summer in order to network with citizens, enhance community relationships and provide multiple opportunities for citizens to meet with their first responders, ask questions and share their concerns and ideas. The Storm Lake Public Safety Neighborhood Outreach Program was established in 2011 and has received national recognition. The outreach events last for one hour each night and longer if necessary, scheduled from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm. Weather could cause a particular night’s event to be cancelled or rescheduled.

See below for the upcoming scheduled dates for future Outreach Programs.
