The Board of Adjustment consists of five members serving five-year term limits:

Bob Bennett, Chairperson Term expires July 1, 2017 Jon McKenna Term expires July 1, 2013 Steven Remington Term expires July 1, 2016

Gary Ringgenberg Term expires July 1, 2013 Wyatt Yon Term expires July 1, 2015

Responsibilities 
The Board of Adjustment approves or denies variances of Storm Lake Zoning Regulations, and decides if special exception uses of property are acceptable. The board also hears appeals of people aggrieved by decisions of the zoning administrator and by decisions based on the Property Maintenance Code.
